The trials and tribulations of painting a house.

Ugh!  It's been a year since Typhoon Mawar and I'm finally getting around to painting the house.  The trials of home ownership.  The paint was fine for the last 10 years, but the typhoon stripped the antifungals and now we're left with stains upon stains.  Not only that, much of the paint was stripped and left an unsightly mess.

Home maintenance here I come!

Fortunately, the inside of the house is in much better shape.  The wall paper is intact.  The oven still works, the water heater is fine, and thank God the AC is still working.  I don't know what I would do if I had to replace the AC units and paint the house.  I used to laugh at my dad when he had to tackle these problems, now it's my turn.  Yes, I guess it's my turn to do the Dad thing.

Being in the Army and with deployable units did not prepare me for home ownership.  I stayed in apartments complexes with property managers.  If I was away for a few months, I'd just notify them.  My bills were automatically deducted and they would take care of securing the apartment.  My car would stay at the motor pool and would be there safe and sound upon redeployment.
